Issues

Issue 1 August, 2010

The theme for the first issue is how each semester has approached design and what this course has taught them so far. The articles are written by students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year.

Issue 2 September, 2010

Issue 2 used pictures as aids to article-writing:

1.
A image created by GMJ (architectural-imaging studio, London) showing Piccadilly Circus, London's busiest thoroughfare become a haven of calm as sinking areas of land mass around the globe push water levels ever higher. Water lilies, fish and wind turbines fight a losing battle on behalf of a civilisation which is going, going, gone...

 2.
Ascending and Descending- graphic artist M. C. Escher's implementation of Lionel Penrose's stairs. This never-ending staircase was recently featured in the movie Inception as an architectural paradox.
